About Myself
Hi. I’m Amanda, and I’m a webaholic, a shopaholic, a nymphomaniac, and a professional university slacker with mammaries of gargantuan proportions. I am also: based in Melbourne Australia, Mr. Darcy’s true love interest, somewhat emotionally stunted, and very very much fobulous.
High on the list of things I like would be throwing myself in the path of danger, travelling to exotic places, being stingy with my money, and falling asleep while listening to Rufus Wainwright on my iPod. As for the reverse, I actually don’t dislike much - I like to think of myself as a fairly lackadaisical and laissez-faire type of person with not much managing to ruffle my feathers.
For more about me, either add my blog to your feedreader (I blog near-daily and it’s the best way of getting to know me), or read these questions from my readers.

About The Site
“Jingwen” is phoneticisation of my Chinese name, meaning “quiet and cultured” (or something of the like). By giving me this name, my parents hoped that they would instill these same qualities in my personality - they were clearly misguided.
In case it wasn’t made clear by the total lack of static content, this is a web log and nothing else. I do post a lot of longer entries on here which would pass as ‘articles’ on other sites, so if you’re in the mood to read something of more substance than what’s currently on the index page (probably an entry about anal sex and/or shopping), I suggest browsing through the archives (see sidebar) for such entries. The categories ‘Asian-ness’, ‘Media’ and ‘Politics’ would be a good place to start.
Regarding comments, go crazy. Write whatever you like - I do however, reserve the right to edit your comment if I see fit (e.g. marking it as NSFW, etc.). If you’ve commented, and your comment doesn’t show up within forty-eight hours, chances are that it was caught by Akismet and deleted mistakenly. Email the comment to me, and I’ll add it to the entry in question.
